Title: Virgin Media Increase Cost Of 0845 Calls.
Post by oldharryrocks on Mar 3rd, 2008 at 2:56am
Looking at the new Virgin Media NGN Price List effective from 12 /2/2008 i notice they have increased the cost of calls to 0845 .

The new charges. 7p connection. 6p a minute Daytime and Evenings. :o

It use to be 5p a minute Daytime and 4p evenings ,which was bad enough.

Scandalous.  :o

Quote:
Call durations are accurate to plus or minus 1.1 seconds and rounded up to the next minute.

So charges for all non-geographical numbers beginning 07, 08 and 09 and others are rounded up to the next minute with Virgin Media. BT charges 07, 08 and 09 calls to the nearest second.

Virgin Media now charge 7 pence per minute for 0845 numbers and 10 pence per minute for 0870 numbers. Charges are to the next whole minute and calls also attract a 7 pence call connection fee. These rates apply at all times.  :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o

Good grief, that's even worse than Sky's charges!

I wonder whether Sky will jump on the bandwagon and raise their prices again now that they can ignore their CPS customers' use of the 1280 prefix?
