Title: 090 numbers
Post by therobbrown on Jun 17th, 2009 at 8:58am
Just new to the forum, but have been using the site for years - it's terrific!

Wondered if there was any help for 090 numbers. I need to call HP out of warranty support for a printer error, and they want to charge me 60p per minute to dial 0906 477 0477.

Any advice?

Rob.

I think you will find this is how you pay for advice. If you took it to a shop to be fixed you would expect to pay for it. Someone has got to pay the guy to speak to you. I guess if the warranty was still valid you would have a cheaper number to ring.

Nothing in this life is free I am afraid. The warranty can't last for ever, if you get what I mean.

Those are my thoughts, others may disagree

Good point - I'm totally fine with that if that's the way it is. Just wondered if there was another way.

I agree with sherbert here. 09xx numbers are overt premium numbers, and the higher the call cost, the more subsidy provided to the receiver. In general, we don't list these types of number.

Having said that, there is nothing to stop you looking for a way round this number. Search the database for hewlett packard and you will find some numbers you could try.
