I rang the Virgin operator to ask how I find out the call charges to a number for Create & Craft (08431 680 000) and was advised that as the companies set theme tarriffs themselves, she couldn't say but she suggested this site to me.

Rubbish. Virgin Media bill you and hence it sets the amount you are charged. It was good that she promoted this website though. Grin

Virgin Media publish all call costs at www.virginmedia.com/callcosts Wink

This says that calls to 0843168 numbers are in band PG6 which cost 9.19 pence per minute, plus 10 pence setup fee at all times.

A few months ago I was talking to an > Orange advisor < regarding my mobile phone tariff, and HE told me about this website.
Naturally, I now tell as many people as I can......from neighbours to my GP !
As I am disabled, and at home 90% of the time, I rely on the Internet, and phone to organise everything.
Orange gave me an incredible deal - Unlimited Land Line calls..{I hinted I may not renew my contract}
So now when I need to phone companies I always come here to find alternative numbers for those 0845's etc
and I have ALWAYS managed to find either a free phone number, or a land line number..
hence - I am not paying for many calls now.

Hi Sherbert the Supreme Member,

I have a BlackBerry, and the name of my tariff with Orange is : Racoon 30 Websave. I pay a straight £36 monthly....which includes all of my Internet usage.
However, Orange have applied the Unlimited Free Land Line calls as a gesture of goodwill. I had cause to make a few complaints, and I was lucky enough to have found a very friendly Orange advisor who offered this to me, and I am entitled to this For Life.

A few times I have looked at prices of other tariffs, other providers, and I haven't seen any that offer unlimited land line calls,
so for once in my life I actually managed to get a good deal.

There is no 60 minute max call, I sit on the phone for 2 hours sometimes!
I love my BlackBerry and being able to email when I'm out and about !

I was fortunate enough to be given the website adress by a customer care assistant in a mobile phone shop ..and yes I have found the site to be very beneficial, like I said before when inclusive call packages came in it,s interesting how soon after the 0845, 0870 etc...came along for company/services financial gain....your site is a great help for the customer .
