Getting a human voice
Dec 2nd, 2007 at 12:06am

Just a thought and wondering what others think of this....

Have returned this weekend from the US where I came across www.gethuman.com.  Those of us who dislike 0870 numbers probably dislike the 'call centre hell' of having to press numbers, only to get more and more recorded information.

This site gives a way round this for many major US companies (all of whom use free numbers, of course).

Might this be a functionality worth adding to SAYNO, an already great site?

Andrew

Might not be a bad idea. There are a few numbers in the DB that I've used that go direct to customer service assistants, rather than providing you with a menu (and might be useful to flag these numbers up, or give them priority maybe).

I don't mind helping you with your request as long as you read the instructions!

Google has just thrown me a link to an article in thisismoney about www.gethuman.com.

As there is great synergy between its objectives and nature and those of this site, the respective authorities should perhaps consider some formal cross-endorsement and mutual promotion.

Seeking a more prominent and direct link to this site from the thisismoney consumer advice index is also perhaps worth trying.

Bypass automated answering?

Hi all

Is there anywhere on sayno where I can find help with bypassing automated answering machines to talk to a person or can anyone recommend a link to a site with such info?

Thank you. Roll Eyes
