Checking their website showed their postcode to be SN25 5AW.

Checking that postcode on the Royal Mail website showed it is allocated to only one firm:

Scotts Of Stow
Unit 1
Crompton Road
Groundwell Industrial Estate
SWINDON
SN25 5AW

There are 3 entries in the database for that firm (2 of which appear to have Swindon telephone numbers).

Traditional Garden Supply Co/Scotts of Stow

I tried to add the geographical number for the above via the usual system but, after I had clicked "add number", I got a fatal error message so thought I would post here to ensure it is added. The geographical number for the Traditional Garden Supply Co is 01451 830345, this is a verified number which I used this morning and they were able to resolve my query. The company is part of Scotts of Stow and the number is direct to their store in Stow. Thank you.

It is one of those companies which has gone from 0870 to 0844 and 0871. Search for scotts of stow to find all entries for this company. If you have any more numbers or find any that don't work for SOS, please post here.

Could not find a previous thread on this so am posting here. I tried the alternatives to the 0844 order line number listed in the database; 01793 707748 went straight to fax, 01793 707700 is a line apparently only staffed Monday to Friday during office opening hours. 01451 870787 is for the shop in Stow itself, this was answered with a message requesting that I leave details as messages are collected hourly & you will receive a call back which I did within a few minutes, they had to check something and ring me back again then I was able to place the order directly through them & was told to call the shop number with any queries (this was as they are delaying placing the order at my request), I would therefore suggest that the shop number in Stow is a good alternative particularly outside office hours.

707700 is the main switchboard at Scotts of Stow which explains why it is only open during office hours.

It appears that the order lines for Scotts of Stow companies are outsourced to Expolink:

The unverified numbers alluded to are 01983 531000 and 01983 203691 which are Isle of Wight numbers. The Artigiano About page gives the address for making an order by post as Artigiano, 86-88 High Street, Newport, Isle of Wight, PO30 1BH.

The clue here is that the website, along with a number of others, is operated by Scotts of Stow. They all have numbers which start with 0844 482.

What we had listed as being for orders, 01793 707748, is now not recognised. The main switchboard number is 01793 707700 and is listed as being open Monday to Friday 9am to 5:30pm.

Thanks for posting about this Barbara.

I have removed entries for Cucina Direct whose web address now forwards to Scotts of Stow. I also removed the entries for Presents Direct which redirects to The Original Gift Company.

Entries were previously tagged with "p/o Scotts of Stow". I've changed this to "Scotts and Co" which is the trading name of the company Scotts Limited. The Scotts & Co website gives the names of websites which it operates. I've added new entries for the ones not previously listed.

All entries can be viewed by typing

scotts & co

into the company name box.
