Whenever you're asked to call an 084 number, try calling the matching 034 number.

In this case, and in many others, it now works.

Likewise, if you're asked to call an 087 number, try calling the matching 037 number.

Calls to 03 numbers cost the same as calling 01 and 02 numbers and count towards inclusive allowances on landlines and on mobiles.

In most cases calling an 034 or 037 number will work out cheaper than calling an 084 or 087 number.

If you are on Vodafone "pay as you go" and you do NOT have any inclusive calls, the 0845 number will be cheaper. This is a special case. Vodafone discounts calls to 0845 numbers on pay as you go.

As Ian points out you can ring either the 084 or 034 versions of this number.

So 0345 600 0723 answers the same as the 0845 version.
