Today I had to amend a flight with Thomsonfly.com
and there was no geographical number to be found on this site. calling the 0870 and being put on hold when went on forever made me feel like I'd sunk into a pit.
Angered by this I hung up and investigated further and finally came up with a solution.
Calling through 18866 to most European destinations is only 2p a minute. I searched Thomsonfly.com website and found the following numbers on their website: France (01)70708136
Espagne (91) 414 14 81
Italie (02) 36 00 3582
Autriche 019289598
Irlande 012477723
Hollande 0207121384
But no UK alternative to 0870. I called them at 2p a minute through the french number and voila, I got through instantly. Who was I talking to? Their UK call centre and whats more they admitted that lines from abroad are given pregerence.
Perhaps saynoto0870 should consider a directoty of foreign numbers where there is no landline alternative.

I've just found a geographical number of 0247 628 2668 for ThomsonFly.

I've just rung this number and they answered ThomsonFly so I'll add this to the database.

I think you will find this was already discussed in the last couple of months.
There are also a couple of different numbers in the unverified under Thomson Fly and Thomson Flights.

My fault as I only did a search on thomsonfly and it brought up the one you mentioned BJ but it was another company where you ask to be put through, etc. My search never picked up the others as they had spaces in them or were called thomson flights but I really should have just searched on thomson instead.

Anyway the other entries had different 0870 than that of ThompsonFly's website with the exception of the one for the Emergency Medical Helpline. I've just rung this number and was advised to ring 0870.

This is yet another outrageous example of profiteering at the expense of the UK consumer. Thomson admitted that calls from the contiment are given priority, and they are geographical numbers which earn them no money, but the UK callers where they receive a revenue 'kick-back' from the 0870 number, can be kept on hold for as long as possible earning them money all the time while the customer waits!

When will this dishonest scam ever end ?
