Title: LBC 97.3 Radio
Post by grummige on Feb 6th, 2009 at 5:12pm
Hi there,

This talk radio station has numbers listed on the site, but none of them work. Does anyone know the number through to the studio or a geographical landline number so I can call from a mobile?

Thanks!

Grum

There is a number in the database - search for LBC to find the alternatives.

Sorry,

I didn't make myself clear. There are numbers on this site in the database, but none of them work!  ;)

Thanks,

Grum

How do you mean they don't work? What happens when you ring them?

The LBC switchboard is 020 7766 6973 - please try that and let us know if they'll transfer you.

Hi!

It goes to the front desk, and security. I asked to be transfered and they said they can't, and gave me the 0845 9090973 number...

So what is wrong with the existing 020 numbers? How do you mean they don't work?

Well,

When you dial them, it says "Number Error" and plays one long tone...

I think the reason the numbers are now disconnected is because LBC moved to 30 Leicester Square following Global Radio's aquisition of GCap Media (formed by the merger of GWR and Capital Radio) and Chrysalis Radio. LBC was a Chrysalis station and was thus based elsewhere.

30 Leicester Square is home to Capital FM and now other Global stations, including LBC.

It isn't 0845 90 90 973.
The number they give out,(also on their website; - http://www.lbc.co.uk/), is 0845 60 60 973

There is a different number for reception at the 30 Leicester Sq address (London WC2H 7LA) but this only works in office hours:

020 7314 7300 (also listed in the database)

It might be worth trying to see if they are willing to transfer.

Furthermore, if one knows the extension number it can be reached via 020 7465 + the 4 digit ext. number.

Yes,

But the radio shows go on at weekends and evening when there's nobody at reception. The old studio number was great as you'd go straight through to the air/production team. They are NOT willing to transfer to the studio dialing that number, therefor, I'm sorry to say it's pretty useless...

If you have a BT landline and are on what was previously described as Option 1 (now renamed Unlimited Weekend Plan) calls to 0845 numbers are free over the weekend.

For Option 2 (Unlimited Evening and Weekend Plan) 0845 calls are free at evenings and weekends.

For Option 3 (Unlimited Anytime Plan) 0845 calls are free all the time.

Well, lompos has said that LBC's studio number might be in the 020 7465 range. Googling returns a few results in the 020 7465 62xx range, so give that a go.

I wanted to ring in and I won't ring an 0845 number (even if they do ring back).  Where about on Google did you find the 020 7465 62** result ?

Cheers
