Recently I had the need to contact the Barnsley Chamber of Commerce until I learned that the only way to contact them by telephone was Via an 0844 number.

Today I have sent a stern message telling them that I will notify all members explaining the fact that the chamber is profiting from the members contacting them.

Can all members send a message to linda.darling@brchamber.co.uk expressing your views

Please see a reply to GPs in regard to using 0844 numbers for local surgeries, it would be appreciated if you could forward this information to the relevant department to stop the DAYLIGHT ROBBERY to unsuspecting Chamber Members

If you `google` Barnsley/Rotherham Chamber of Commerce from Spain you are shown 01226 217770 as a contact number. This is a Barnsley area code number. I don`t know whether this is of any use, I haven`t tried it.
