I have been trying to find an alternative number for my Doctor's surgery: Bridge Cottage Surgery, High Street, Welwyn. Their number at present is: 08448 151413 which is costing me a fortune every time I phone. >:(

If anyone can find an 01438 number that goes through to the reception I would be very grateful.

08448 151413 => 0844 815 1413

The mis-formatting is seemingly designed to hide the fact it's an 0844 number.

According to Ofcom, the 0844 815 number block uses charge rates g6 and p27 and is allocated to "TalkTalk Communications Limited".

In your area, they also have these allocations:

01438 487xxx -- Talk Talk
01438 488xxx -- Talk Talk
01438 489xxx -- TalkTalk
01438 504xxx -- Tiscali

My guess is that it is within one of those.
