Need a geographic for 0870 908 0800 as I am fed up with lining Dell's pocket to fix a problem which is under warranty!!

Following the numbers that we already have for Business Support (01344 373196), I rang a couple of other numbers in that area.

I found the switchboard at 01344 373166 who put me through to Home User Technical support with no problems.

Same queue to wait in though !   :-/

Worked fine. Was put through without problem and I had a 25 minute chat with a very nice chap in India. Didn't fix the problem but as I was using my free months calls on BT Communicator ... no problem!!

The number shown in the database now just puts you through to an anonymous voicemail. We need to get this number removed.

I ended up having to use the 0870 number for 32 minutes.  >:(  It probably would have been cheaper to call their Ireland number via a low-cost international call provider.

I have just tried 01344 373727 and it goes through to a menu with an option for customer services and an option for technical support. Selecting the latter gets you through to someone in technical support. Is this the number you are referring to?

No. The number I tried was 01344 373196, which is what I got when I searched for an alternative to Dell's Business Tech Support number, 0870 9080500. It also says "Switchboard - ask for Business Support". The number you just quoted seems like a much more useful one. Maybe that one could be listed as the alternative to 0870 9080500 instead.

I tried nearby numbers from 373195 to 199. 01344 373199 identifies itself as "Dell Customer Care Line" and says it's open 9am-5pm. It also refers callers to the Dell website for "support". It might be technical support or be able to put you through. This number is already in our database for "Corporate Order Tracking enquiries".

I've done that. Please give us feedback on whether it works or not. Also, give the other number a try.

I tried the 01344 373727 number, for a follow-up call, and it worked a treat.  :) Thanks for that!

Have you searched the database? There are lots of Dell entries there.

Have  a look at the posts above and the numbers in the database under dell . It's not uncommon for the same department to have different non-geographical numbers. I can see some entries marked as being for technical support. If you find any which work for your enquiry, then please let us know and I will amend the entries with 0844 338 1555.
