Are 0871 numbers covered.

I'm particularly trying to obtain an alternate number for 0871 434 1010

Is there a methodlogy for obtaining this info?

Entering 0871 434 1010 into Google produces a number of hits which suggest the number is associated with Daily Express Cruises.

One of those hits (SEE HERE) includes: Edit - Freephone number for Daily Express - 0800 376 8000. luci - HT Mod

Worth a try?

Ofcourse 0871s are covered!!

Why do you require this number? Is it a mystery number on your phone bill?

Have a look at Guide to finding geographical numbers in "Site Related" section.  ;)

Thanks - that free number is correct.

The Company is Northern & Shell, owner of the Express and Star newspapers, OK! magazine etc.

10 Lower Thames Street
London EC3R 6EN

They recently switched to 0871, costing 10p/minute.

Their previous geographical codes were 020 7922/7928/7937/7938

It would be nice to find an ordinary switchboard number as well as I'm sure they'll drop the freephone as soon as word spreads.

They quote that to call from overseas:

+44 (0)870 062 6620

This is a correct number from UK, but I didn't think 0870 nubbers worked from overseas

Title: Daily Express

The Daily Express has been attacked in the past because it's owned by the publisher of Asian Babes, but another reason should be that its contact numbers are in the 0871 range.  For outside the UK, there's +44 870, which will also be charged at a premium, assuming it's accessible at all.

What complete hypocrites - how can they campaign on behalf of the consumer against rip-offs, and charge a premium for telephoning or faxing them.

I've done websearches on Daily Express 020, but haven't been able to find a geographic switchboard number.

Next time it might be better to look for the group number & any other alternate addresses.
