I was wondering if someone could please help me with  my request please.......

Geographical number for NTL Customer disconnections (for NTL broadband) please?

I tried 0800 052 2000 BUT they tell me to ring 0800 052 0243 for customer relations/disconnections but because I have only mobile phone, it cost me a fortune.

Anyone please help me on this please?

An immediate suggestion, and I mean this both seriously and politely, is to use a BT payphone for the 0800 number.

Normal 0800 calls are free from BT Payphones!!!  and i echo Heinz comments.This site is all about helping each other,not the horsetrading of numbers.

Whenever someone knows a geo number, then it is part of the culture of the members of this site to let everyone know.  The whole concept of this site, is to let people have the alternative numbers, but usually can only be done if people come forward with the information.

I have myself, responded to some members requests for information, but I don't expect to be paid, or expect anything in return.  If it wasn't for this site, I would be making more 0870 calls, and paying more for my phone calls.

And if you take a look in the FOI requests, some people have taken alot of trouble to obtain geo numbers, and make alot of chase up calls, letters, and e-mails when given no responses, or not given the info they were after.

I was thinking about this the other day. Freephone numbers are the one barrier to me doing away with a fixed phoneline altogether.

The question is, for how much longer will 0800 number be free from payphones, before they go the same way as free directory enquiries?

A Free DQ still exists on 0800 0192 190 (free) from a BT payphone. ;)

Orange Contract phones still offer calls to 0500/0800/0808 free.

Perhaps we will eventually have people quoting both 080 and a geographic number - so that one can call from abroad. It still appears to be only UK>US that enables +1 800 etc to work, albeit at the usual international rate. But a very useful service. So no excuse for the UK mobiles then ;)

Me too. I have given numerous information on geographical numbers in the past :)

To get through NTL Customer Relations/Disconnections, you need to first dial:

0161 958 8565

.........then ask the speaker to connect you through to "Customer Relations" department.........(The speaker then transfers you across to "Customer Relations" department)

.....and then select "option 2"  (when the machine operator speaks)
