For Bank of Scotland (HBOS) Business Banking number 0845 3000268 you provide 0131 5498724 as the geo number but this geo number is in fact for the personal banking Internet Helpdesk.

The correct number for BOS BB is 0131 549 8724 which will take you straight through to the Business Banking Internet Helpdesk but they can action anything on the account. 8-)

OK, I am confused.
What, please, is the difference between 0131 5498724 and 0131 549 8724? Save for the correct layout in the latter.

Perhaps the new telephone systems pick up the fact that you are trying to bypass the 0870, but if you put in the spaces then it confuses them and they let you through.

It's only a theory. :)

Hmm, good point!

Strange, I dialed the number first and it went to the personal online desk who had to transfer me to business but I had a geo number already saved on my mobile which I then used that put my directly through to business. Obviously it is the same number I had already saved, I just didn't look at the numbers first. ::)

Maybe the first woman was due to finish and fobbed me off!
