Title: DDI patterns
Post by po8crg on Dec 5th, 2006 at 2:23pm
Is it possible to submit a DDI pattern for the database, rather than just a single number?

I'm an administrator for an organisation that uses 0845 numbers in order to be able to reroute calls between offices (ie there are multiple geo numbers for each 0845, with the geos terminated in different places).  If we could use a normal geo-priced non-geo number for these, then we would.

There's no way I'm going to type in all the four or five thousand numbers, especially as they fall into various regular patterns.  Can I just put the patterns into the database?

Unfortunately the search engine doesn't pick up wildcards, but I usually input them using ***s. For example:

ABC Ltd   0870 1234***     01234 567***

If one number is the switchboard/general enquiries then make that the main entry and put the other DDI numbers in the Other Info field:

0870 1234***=01234 567***

What company is it?
