When you add a new number to the geographic Alternatives database it is stated the the number you have just added will not be immediately available as it needs to be verified.

This is not in fact accurate any more as the number is now immediately available when conducting number searches but merely listed in the unverified rather than the verified database until such time as it has been checked.

I added a new number today for www.lvtbulletin.com This has been fully checked as I have just had a long conversation with someone on the publication using the 020 number for the publisher Adrenaline Media as listed at www.192.com

The number can therefore be safely promoted to the Verified list.

What about Daniel's message still telling contributors that numbers they add to the database will not be visible till they have been verified and that this may take some time?

This is clearly no longer accurate.

At present, following the submission of a number it says:

I suggest that this be amended to:

Thank you. The number you added will be available immediately as an unverified entry.

However I imagine that Daniel also needs to agree with and action this?

Given that some submissions could be from people perhaps less thorough than NGM, that anyone can mistype something, and that there was a recent complaint from someone whose number had been incorrectly published as pertaining to another company, I hope that a certain amount of judicious balancing of policy can be applied to this.
