Title: Problem using alternative number search page
Post by jerryr on Aug 2nd, 2007 at 2:07pm
When searching for the geographical nos for this company they are only displayed for a second or so and then they disappear. Is this some new scam perpetrated by 0870 promoters? Does it happen to other companies listings?

Yes, on this site and it is still doing it. Maybe it is just a glitch but I suspect devious forces.

On the home page I click 'search for an alternative number' and type in either DHL or 0845 0261278 and up comes a whole page of real numbers which then vanish after a second or so leaving just the odd one or two. It took me several goes to get the number I wanted but I got there.

Is it taking you to another page?

How did you get it to work?

I now see why you seem confused. It doesn't happen on my laptop, only on this desk computer and it didn't used to. So it must be something in this computer though I can't think what.
For your information though the geographical number given in the Unverified Database for the Hounslow branch of the above company does work. Sorry if I have wasted your time

Glad you got it sorted. It seems that Skype does something odd with the numbers on this site - we've had reports of this before. I wonder if it is worth putting a notice somewhere about it incase further people get confused by it.
