No longer will we have to phone an 0870 number to contact the club as it was today announced that all contact arrangements for Valley Parade will be returning to an 01274 prefixed local call.

The desire of businesses to use 0870/0845 numbers comes from a time of telecommunication pricing where we were rewarded for making local calls and so, for those who may receive enquiries from further afield having a fixed rate service seemed sensible. However, in recent years there has ceased to be any distinction other than 'landline' phone calls meaning that 0870 and 0845 numbers have in fact become something of a premium.

Websites such as the excellent Money Saving Expert and Say No to 0870 have fought a campaign to see companies end the use of these numbers.

In keeping with the desire of Bradford City to recapture the sense of being run by the fans, for the fans, the reintroduction of localised telephone numbers is a further positive step.

From the 1st January the main club switchboard will be (01274) 773355

To contact other parts of the club the following numbers will be what you need:

Ticket Office 01274 770012
Surridge Upfront Superstore 01274 706847
EMC 01274 706848
Sales & Marketing  01274 706840
Youth Development 01274 706851
Main fax 01274 773356

At some point, and at least several years ago, Bradford FC changed to premium rate 0871 numbers both for the club number and for the ticket line.

As of yesterday, the premium rate 0871 numbers are again gone. See https://www.bradfordcityfc.co.uk/news/2017/november/club-end-premium-rate-charges/

The previous 0871 numbers will still be in operation for the next two weeks.

One hopes with a redirection message telling callers to hang up and redial!
