Sent an FOI off to HM Government about their savings helpline, and got a fairly normal response. They did give me the alternate number, but the rest of the email basically translates as "Go away, we like 0845". If I had somewhere to host the PDF I'd put it up, as i don't have time to type it all out, but sadly, I'm lacking.

Anyway, the alternative is:

It takes you through to a different department, who won't transfer. Or wouldn't when i called. Hence the FOI.
