Tiscali, Britain's fifth-biggest internet provider, is fighting for survival after asking its banks to suspend its loan repayments.

If your with them and out of contract now might be a good time to leave.

According to today's Daily Telegraph, it looks as if Sky may be snapping them up.

Logically Tiscali should be worth more money to a telco with no existing LLU presence as virtually all Tiscali's 946 LLU'ed exchanges will merely duplicate the 1,190 in which Sky/Easynet already have their own equipment.

Still I expect Sky will argue that they need the extra LLU capacity for their own extended customer base and no doubt they are pepared to leave LLU DSLAMs going to waste to try and keep a new competitor out of the marketplace. :o >:( [smiley=thumbdown.gif] [smiley=thumbdown.gif] [smiley=thumbdown.gif]
