Can anyone supply a geographical number for Hospedia (Formerly Patientline) in Slough (Head Office)? I'm trying to locate an old colleague who worked in the technical department. The alternative number listed (01753 896198) appears invalid.

Any Help Appreciated!

Patientline (49p/minute to call a sick relative in hospital) are experts at fleecing callers so their choice of 0845 numbers for their HQ is at the 'better end' of the rip-off market.

I'll bet it'll be a difficult one to crack though.

Can you tell us in what was is it "invalid"? Is it not recognised, is it unobtainable, rings no answer, etc?

When you worked there, what was the number or numbers in use? All numbers you know of may be useful, so any faxes, direct numbers etc. Do you know the prefix or prefixes used for DDI? I ask because I'd be rather surprised if you didn't know any.

The main 0845 414 numbers are allocated to Hospedia. It also has one geographic prefix in the country and it is a Slough number block. 01753 366 whose change date is 07/2003 has 1,000 numbers in it. Perhaps it is used for the office numbering.  :-?

I would try memorable numbers such as 366000 and 366366. See what you get and let us know how you get on so I can update the listings accordingly.  :)

Unnobtainable tone from landline, unobtainable tone mobile phone - Orange, "You have chosen an invalid number" - Sipgate, "Invalid  phone number" - Skype.

I never worked at Patientline so don't know any of their numbers, my colleague did (hopefully still does) but I've lost all his contanct details hence the posting. It appears from their website that they've recently moved anyway so that's probably why the (old) number is invalid.

Maybe someone "in the know" will help out???

A few pages give e-mail addresses in the form firstname.lastname@hospedia.co.uk  Perhaps that is one way of making contact.

Further to my suggestion above, I've just tried all 01753 366xxx numbers and they're all not recognised from my BT line.

Hospedia also have the prefix 0800 9593, change date 04/2000. A quick try of a few numbers in that range yields 0800 959 3200. You could try that.

Do let us know how you get on. If you find a suitable alternative I will list it for others to use.

Should you make contact with your friend, ask him what the numbers are. Even if he doesn't know what the alternative is to the main 0845 number, he may have a direct number of which you could give us with the last two digits '**'ed out.
