I know this is a 'local call rate' but I have free landline calls on my mobile which then charges me for any 08 numbers :(

Any idea what the landline number is please? I need to contact them for a support issue and dont fancy having to pay for a problem on their hardware! Ironically, the 'Online Support Chat' option one their website only allows you to talk about sales not support :/

I have tried google to no avail!

That is interesting as that number is on the database as a verified number. Did you look there first before making the request? I did not look on the database when I read you request as I assumed you would have looked there first!

If they are redirecting all calls to the 0844 number, then Dave will have to remove it. If however they are just giving that number out because they are 'busy', it may be worth trying it again.

There is also this number on the database

That number is inclusive on some packages depending which calling plan you are on

If the number was verified it has now changed! 01484664735 is just a recorded message saying its an old number.

I can only use 01,02 & 03 numbers on my mobile for free landline calls so the 0845 number is chargeable.

The reason I got the bolt on for free landline calls was to keep my costs down! Unfortunately nearly every company seems to be switching to the 0845 or 0844 numbers without publishing the corresponding local number. Short-sighted if you ask me.

Hello Gyro!

This is a shot in the dark.  Send them an email and say that you are in Denmark and the telephone network will not connect you - it's a premium rate number, and that you need to speak to a representative of the company etc.  You have nothing to lose, and in fact possibly something to gain.

jamesbond's advice would seem to be the best bet to achieve a result so far.

I suspect that this one will only be known by the company and its telephone provider, and that we're unlikely to be able to sleuth our way to it.

I have removed the entry in the database which gave 01484 664735. As Gyro has said, there is a recording on it redirecting to the 0844 number (complete with the misleading "Lo-Call" term).

I came across this thread on PCSpecialist's own forum where the fax number has been given as 01484 667140.


Calling the 664735 number gets through to the recording, and when one presses *, it prompts for an extension number. It may be worth more investigation, but it didn't seem to be for putting calls through to other extensions, more leaving voicemails.

However, I did find out that they have three-digit extensions, and that 100 and 102 are valid numbers.

I get the impression that these are just odd numbers they have, so it's likely that they've simply aquired another (unrelated) number to sit behind the 0844 number.

"01484 664732" would appear to belong to someone else.

Hi all, I tried as jamesbond suggested and emailed them.

The reply was as follows...

   "We don’t have a normal number for the main phone system, you can try getting through on +441484668846"

I tried that number (un-internationised, i.e. 01484 668 846) earlier and it was engaged. Then later (after 6pm) and it just kept ringing. Will try again on Monday and let you know.

This may be a clue to numbers into PCSpecialist's office. Perhaps 66884x etc. 668820/21 belong to The Pink Link, so they don't go down that low. Still, it's worth a try if you don't get through on 668846.

I went straight on to the www.192.com site when I saw that request. I assumed the op did a search first for an existing thread. I must admit I didn't, so apologies :-[

I wonder how often the www.192.com site gets up dated as this has happened many times before :-?

I can confirm that the number 01484 668 846 DOES WORK.

It went through to their back office, and I was just put through to a sales advisor after stating that I needed some help with a laptop.

(My issue was resolved, btw. They're good people)
