As I reflect and look forward, I can offer two thoughts:

• Our friends at Ofcom have offered a seasonal message to Silent Callers - I comment, in a cynical and unhappy tone here.
  
  
• In a spirit of goodwill to all men, I must however congratulate Ofcom for warming our hearts and providing us with renewed energy for the New Year by introducing the term "Business Rate" to the vocabulary. In my response to the earlier preliminary consultation on NGCS I was searching for such a term without success. - I respond to this announcement here.

Some of us oppose the concept of there being a "Business Rate", whilst others simply argue that it should not be applied in certain cases. In pressing for the clear recognition of what this is, we should now have a clearer focus for our campaigning efforts in 2011, as we all ...

Say No To (the misuse of) Business Rate telephone numbers.
