I like this idea, a good idea for the hard of hearing. What do others think?

Excellent idea, having a number of Deaf friends, I feel this is a positive communication step, also more info here: http://consumers.ofcom.org.uk/2011/02/ofcom-proposes-to-safeguard-emergency-sms-scheme/

Yes I think it is brilliant, especially as I am a bit 'mutton & jeff' myself. Good to see that us hard of hearing folk are being helped. Often they are at the bottom of the list where help is offered.

sherbert,

Totally agree, several friends have varying levels of hearing issues from profoundly deaf, to partially deaf. All would benefit from this service.

Indeed SCV, along with a seperate one because they are "forcing" consumers to be offered 12 month Mobile contracts instead of 18/24 month ones!

I note Tesco offers 12 month contract's already, obv that is a side note.

PS you have a PM from me  :)
