What has happened to the site?

Yesterday it was un-accessible and today, posts are missing?

It looks like about 24 hours of postings made before the 24 hour downtime occurred are now missing.

I searched the Google cache for missing threads and posts. I found references to various posts, but only found a small number of the actual posts.

I have reposted the small number of posts that I found (along with the original date and time and ID of the original poster), else made a comment where Google indicated that a thread previously had a larger number of posts within but hadn't yet made a copy of those posts.

Anyone that gets new posts emailed to them and still has them in their inbox, could easily fill in some of the gaps.

The site was restored from a backup made at 04:00 on Wednesday 27th which was about 14 hours before it went down. Unfortunately, e-mail notifications don't contain the body of the posting.
