Title: Universal Credit number 0845 & 0345
Post by Mich@el on Apr 2nd, 2015 at 9:00am
New numbers for the new Government benefit Universal Credit, there are 2, 0345 suppose to be cheaper if you're ringing from a mobile.

0345 600 0723
0845 600 0723

This is the main line for everything after claim is made. All enquiries, status changes, end claim goes through this number.

All Post goes through Wolverhampton but i'm not sure where the call centre is.

The 0345 number is cheaper for all those who have inclusive minutes on their landline or on their mobile phone.

The 0345 number is also cheaper for almost all pay as you go mobile users, except those on some of the Vodafone tariffs.

The 0345 number is also cheaper for most landline users.

The main body of people who currently find the 0845 number is cheaper are those on BT Weekend who make calls during weekdays. If they are making weekday calls they should be on BT Anytime and calling the 0345 number.

The Government website only lists the 0345 number. The 0845 number has been around for a couple of years.

The cost of calling any 03 number is the same as calling a geographic number beginning 01 or 02. Inclusive minutes apply on the same basis from landlines and mobiles equally.
