Title: Cumbria County Council 0845 Flood Hotline
Post by bigjohn on Apr 5th, 2016 at 7:39pm
Council are getting stick for still using 0845 number for the hotline.

See http://www.thewestmorlandgazette.co.uk/news/14404716.County_Council_charge_premium_rate_on_Highways_Hotline_in_wake_of_floods_because_it_was_not__cost_effective__to_use_free_service/

As pointed out in the article they are in breach of regulations as they dont display service charge in a prominent position, and in close proximity to the telephone number'. see http://www.cumbria.gov.uk/planning-environment/flooding/floodriskassessment.asp
Despite the fact they say have changed site to show this.

They talk of in the future of having  a FREE 03 number  which is not the case unless the caller has inclusive minutes. :-?
