I have just found the following numbers advertised as VM contact source numbers and I believe they are in breach of present OFCOM policy

0843 515 ****
0844 306 ****
0870 280 ****
0843 504 ****
0870 280 ****
0843 515 ****

All are points of contact for VM customers

They simply forward calls and pocket the Service Charge element of the call cost.

It is essentially a third-party scam to catch the unwary.

Sadly you can list most major organisations and you will find someone has set up a "forwarding" number and claims the service charge element.

Sky, Virgin Media, etc...

I even once found one for a DWP number of all things!

I have been in contact with VM and they assure me that the numbers mentioned will be investigated and removed. I will keep members informed.
