The evening and weekend deal is poor value for money as outside of those times, calls are charged at more than £7 per hour. Make just seven minutes per week of chargeable calls and your bill will be more than the cost of the unlimited anytime call plan.

Landline providers have botched their marketing. They usually offer a call plan with weekend calls as the default. These have incredibly expensive weekday calls and this fuels the perception that landlines are expensive. They should be trumpeting their unlimited anytime call plans.

These prices should be irrelevant. If you have the correct inclusive call plan to match your usage, you will never pay these rates.

Every other major landline provider offers inclusive calls to UK mobile numbers. BT is now the only major landline provider to NOT offer this.

Ofcom has significantly reduced the cap on Mobile Termination Rates such that the rate is now lower than for calls to 03 numbers. There is no excuse for BT to continue to exclude calls to mobile numbers from inclusive call plans. Plusnet, Sky, TalkTalk, Virgin Media, Zen and others already include calls to mobile numbers in their anytime call plans.

This should be just mobile numbers allocated in Jersey, Guernsey and Isle of Man. In practice there are some other numbers this applies to.

BT is one of a number of landline and mobile providers that continues to exclude some other UK mobile numbers starting 071 to 075 or 077 to 079. These are referred to as "non-mobile" numbers. However, this should not be happening. On 1 May 2015, Ofcom removed the whole basis (higher than usual termination rates) for the existence of this unofficial category. All UK allocated numbers starting 071 to 075 or 077 to 079 are subject to the new lower cap on Mobile Termination Rates.

This is the third year in a row that their announcement has had this typo.

On page 2 of this document at the bottom it says:

You’ll be notified by e-mail or letter of other changes we’re making to your services from 7th January 2018, or you can log into your personal pricing page by clicking here

This should say in to rather than into.
