We have lifts maintained by Apect Lifts and are always having problems with them but
the "Emergency" call out number is 0845 468 1400. We pay for the call-out anyway but a person stuck in a lift Aspect are responsible for maintaining should not have to pay for the phone call to get rescued. There is an emergency call button in the lift which may or may not get answered, but that is not the point.
What is their landline number , so we can avoid this rip-off? >:(

A quick google search suggest this might be a number for them: 01622 808695
Whether it's a 24 hour emergency number is another matter.

From the sound of it, you need a different and better lift maintenance company. But that might not be feasible at the moment.

Also IF they insist on having an 0845 number their are in breach of regulations by not displaying the call charge information for it. Which you can point out to them.

Rather than displaying call charge information for the premium rate 0845 number, it would be far better if they simply got rid of it by swapping to the exactly matching 0345 number.
