Like others, I just registered, to say that the 0800 number works.. ignore the two requests to press *, then it goes straight thru to scotland- completely bypassing India and the robbing 0870 number!  Cool

It appears money-grabbing Sky has closed another loophole.

After years of ignoring govt. guidelines & RIPPING OFF Council Tax payers using 0845 numbers, Essex County Council changed to 0345 numbers on 2 November 2015

You can still beat it ,make up a fictitious a/c number, enter  say 321 followed by # it will say it does not recognise it.Input it again after about 3 attempts it will put you through to advisor.

I used the above method to get through to Sky today and I changed my package with them accordingly. I kept putting in fictitious numbers and hitting # and eventually the message came through that I would transferred to a supervisor. Eventually I was, to someone in India who after some time handed me over to someone in Scotland. The whole call took about 25 mins. A pain in the arse I know but satisfying not to have  paid for the call. Cheers.  Smiley

I have updated the information in the database for 0800 5875707. You must enter a number followed by * and then select option 1. Do this 3 times and you will be transferred.

Hi,  my husband's brand new sky package arrived today, but we couldn't get it going.  Rang a couple of the numbers mentioned on the site, but didn't have much luck.  Then he rang the freephone number for SKY Card 0800 0560939 (also found on this site), which is the number for the sky card lost or stolen services.  He played dumb and was transferred over to Sky customer services who went on to sort out the problem.

Don't know if this helps anyone, but it worked for us and we went through on the freephone number.  This is all new to us, so someone more savvy may wish to try it just to confirm whether it will work for others.

Thanks for the great site. Smiley

here's a geo number for sky

01506 831 780

this will provide access to all departments

press 3 and then  (options 1 & 2 are for broadband and hd)

3,2  customer services
3,1  downgrade
5,3  cancellations
1,1 or 2  technical
2,1 or 2 installations
4 sales or reinstates

there's more options, but those should cover most peoples needs...

enjoy!!

Smiley Worked a treat, I have just changed from Sky Talk Anytime to the new Sky Talk package at a saving of £2.99 a month.  To change to the new identical service at £2.99 a month reduction they ask you to call an 0870, how annoying is that!!!

Hi, I just registered too!

I foned the last Geo number and i got straight through to scotland after picking my selections.

I made the call to downgrade my sky+ package as ive recently become a single mum and i found the £38 difficult to find this month,  So when i got through they said if i stay with sky+ i will get exactly what i already have for £25 a month for 3 months! so i just paid this months subscription on friday so my next payment will be £13+! and i have to call back on the 14th November to see what else they can offer me!

So thanks a bunch!  I have saved on the phone call and got a good deal with my subscription all in a 5 mins call!Keep up the good work! Smiley
