In the same way that companies earning revenue from 0870 numbers are disliked, are companies who use 0800 numbers ( ie paying for you to call them) being respected and given the business?

Lots of companies use 0800 numbers in their advertisements. As soon as you become a paying customer the number you call them on is 0845, or worse 0870.
