If you want to use the 01506 484040 number to contact sky, it is worth noting that sky seem to have outsorced thier late evening Customer Services to the Indian continent, as I spent 3 hours getting cut off from a queue on 01506, where as the 08702 404040 got me straight through to 3 menus (count them) and finally to a CS agent with a very thick accent.

Looks like the UK based CS people get booted out in the evening, leaving us to get ripped off by this con.

The moral is that if you want to use the standard STD number, do so early evening.
