I regularly use 1899 to dial France 1p/min. On Feb17th when I tried to call I was surprised that the tariff message said 3p/min. I hung up looked at the website and it stated quite clearly that the rate was 1p/min.I then dialled 1899, one of the options was to find out the rates for the number you are trying to call, I put in my number and the answer came back that it would be 1p/min.,so made the call, tariff message said 3p and indeed that was what I was charged.Several emails later I get the following message the rate quoted on the tariff message is what counts and todays email is as follows
Dear Sir or Madam, > > Thank you for your mail. > > The calls to France on 17 February 2005 were charged at 3p/min and later it > has been changed back to 1p/min again. > > We hope this has answered your question.
So p[lease be warned and beware, since 1866 is apparently run by the same organisation, always opt for the tariff message and forget about the published rates.
