Premium Rate definition

I am working my way round any company that writes to me with an 0870 (and 0871 and 084X) number in any of its paperwork, asking them for a geographic number.

I wanted to back up my subsequent explanation of "yes, it is Premium Rate Angry

" with a copy of the BT page from the website.

Despite careful (OK, not careful enough Embarrassed

) research I can not find it either in this excellent site or BT's labyrinth.
Would someone point me in the right direction, please?

Hi Tanllan

This may be of use to you or other members.

A handy way to keep a copy of the BT pricing information page (ie an exact copy, as seen on your screen), for sending to anyone, is to:

1) Load the BT page onto your screen, in the normal way (press the link in my Reply #1 above).

2) Press “Print Screen” on your keyboard, which then loads a “picture” of the page into the temporary memory of the “clipboard”.

3) Activate a blank “Word” page, then press “paste”. This places the "picture" of the BT page onto a Word document page (ie a screen dump).

4) Widen the page margins.

5) Click onto the “picture” and pull the corner to enlarge.

The BT page, or any page, can be incorporated into a letter etc.
