There are also unverified numbers in the database that might help,

First Scotrail Telesales

I'm looking for an alternative to 0845 7 55 00 33, which is the Telesales number for First Scotrail. I know that the call centre is based in Fort William, so the Geographical alternative should be an 01397 number.

I've written to Scotrail pointing out that the 0845 number costs customers money and (probably) gives the company no benefit - but no reply as yet!

Perhaps you could try a few extensions near that one?

It is probably the switchboard for "FirstInfo" (the "section" that runs the customer services for Scotrail). Please try that number and see if they will transfer you.

The 0141 number now has a recording on giving the 0845 number. Try the number found by jgxenite and let us know how you get on. You may have to ask to be put through to telesales.

I suspect that the terminating number for the 0845 one will be somewhere in the range we have uncovered. It might also be worth asking them for an alternative number while you are on the line.
