Co-operative Bank
Oct 11th, 2005 at 1:32am

I have visited occasionally and have finally registered and am making my first post. Until now I have been enthusiastically berating and boycotting companies such as Sky (found the Disney option works though)!

Not sure if this is the sort of thing of interest, but I found the following statement on the "Contact Us" page of the Co-op Bank web site;

".....please ring 0870 600 0328 between 9am and 9pm for further assistance. Calls are charged at national rate."

I have emailed them with my comments to this, and await their response with interest.

the co-op should, once it gets to the right people, fix this. I will get my local Co-Op Regional Society to write to their contact.

The Co-Op bank is part of CFS which is also part of CRS/CWS (or whatever there called today) which is then part of Co-Operatives UK.

For some years I have been a regular customer of both the Co-operative Bank and Smile (the on-line banking arm).

Smile used to offer 0845 843 2265 but are now pushing 0870 843 2265 at us.  Ha ha!  And they keep trying to tell us how "ethical" they are.

The 0161 number for Smile on SAYNOTO0870 is excellent.

I had a run-in with Co-op Bank some while back, but it did mean that I ended up with a VERY USEFUL contact in their executive office.  If any of you have a particular problem with them, send me a personal mail and I'll try to help.  Preferably when we collected a good bit of ammunition.

I thought it was worth updating everyone. I have had the following:
- one email asking for my postal address.
- one letter advising that they were investigating my enquiry
- one further letter apologising for the delay in providing a proper response.

So no real success, but continual assurances that it is being dealt with.

Further updates as and when available.
