0870 2401435 ... 4 silent calls so far today (Read 6,607 times)

dxradio Newbie Offline Posts: 2	0870 2401435 ... 4 silent calls so far today Aug 8^th, 2006 at 4:35pm We've had four silent calls (phone rings, but no-one at other end) from 0870 2401435 today ... at least according to the BT announcement after dialling 1471. Not apparently listed anywhere on this site.

Three more silent calls later, then a real voice on the other end ...

It's the Halifax trying to get us to sign up to one of their credit cards ... or perhaps it's a outgoing call centre representing whoever contracts them for calling "customers". Hence the previous page saying it's Sky, and mine daying it's Halifax.

I'd tried searching for "08702401435" and "0870 2401435" and "0870 240 1435" ... hadn't tried "08702 401435" ... obviously the space is all important.

No deal!

Derek Yorky Newbie Offline Posts: 1	Re: 0870 2401435 ... 4 silent calls so far today Reply #3 - Nov 24^th, 2006 at 2:43pm I get quite a few of these pesky phone calls, as I now working from home, before no one was here during the day, so the answer phone was on, but we never got left a message, if only you could talk to someone and get these calls stopped, there must be a way, or do I have to write to my MP again.

There is a number you can ring to stop silent calls it is 0870 444 3969 or thanks to saynoto0870, 0800 083 1138. I think you have to re register once a year.
