Orange (Wanadoo) Broadband Customer Services
Reply #1 - Nov 7th, 2006 at 6:01pm

I would like to get through to Orange Wanadoo to ask about their slow service on Broadband. The numbers they recommend are 0870 010 2462, 0845 330 7124 , 0870 010 2426, none of which show up as providing geographical alternatives. Can anyone help me please ?
Peter

Is this for a new connection? Or is it customer services or something else?  Huh

It's to get in touch with Customer Services. I am an existing broadband customer.

An unverified customer services number is 01642 732785.

Please come back and say whether it works or not. There are a few others that look worth a try.

This is to confirm that the number yyou gave for Orange Technical Support, 01642-732785, did the trick. I used it three times today and was on the phone for 2hrs+ getting support to sort out my problem. I was really glad that I was using this number free of charge, instead of having to pay premium rates using the 0845/0870 number that Orange provided.
Thank you again and this really confirms the value of your website. CAn I leave it to you to post the number as verified as I still have Internet Access problems: but as least they are now on my case.

I've moved it to the verified database now.  Wink

A number has been entered in the database is 01709 481900 and says "Hello, this is Orange. We tried calling you earlier..."

Following numbers answer as Orange. The database entry says it's for broadband helpdesk, but the phone numbers don't answer saying what they are.

0113 2982005 for high level complaints now has a recording giving 0870 numbers.  Lips Sealed

I have removed it and made the reception number, 0113 2229100 the main alternative.

Have been trying the number listed for Orange Broadband Customer Service. Orange say the 0870 number is open 7 am - 11 pm, 7 days. I tried the alternative many times after 6 pm last night and it is always engaged. As an experiment I tried it at 4.20 this morning and it is still engaged. Does this mean that it doesn't work?

Not necessarily. It may be that they only operate from the office you tried during the daytime and that they set it to be perminantly engaged so that calls cannot be forwarded to it.

There is an option on the menu of 0845 6717125 for customer services. Not quite as bad as 0870.

If you have an Orange mobile phone, you can dial 550 free of charge  Orange Broadband is option 2.

Orange Broadband enquiries

Is anyone getting any success on the alternative numbers posted for Orange Broadband enquiries which are given as 01642 732785 - 9?  I always get the engaged tone on all of them.

Further to my last post, (no answers  Huh ) I have persisted with Emails to Orange with reference to my problem, (intermittent drop out). They initially kept sending me links to suggestions on their web site and continued to request that I used the 0870 tech help line. I continued to insist that I wouldn't use a premium 0870 number, explaining why. and requesting a call back.

Finally, I've been promised a call back, it may have something to do with my contract expiring in a couple of weeks time and my threat to change suppliers.

Anyway, if/when I get the call, I'll keep you posted.

Is anyone reading this.  Undecided

Terry
