I'm sure they're devious enough not to record such details as geographical alternatives to their 0844 numbers on their computer systems.

Going from what I've some people have report on here and that is the surgeries themselves don't know (obtained via FoI requests) their geographical alternative so it could be that NEG are the only ones who are aware of this (except for the telco that owns the geographical) so this ensures that NEG make money every time somebody rings a surgery.

I think it's currently useless searching for alternatives if a surgery has moved to an 0844 number provided by NEG.
