The Internet Archive allows you to look back at how websites used to be (providing that they've been saved).

http://digimate.co.uk/contacts.htm]This page[/url] from February 2004 gives worldwide addresses. The UK one is:

289 Talbot Road
Stretford
Manchester
M32 0XR

TEL: 0161 866 2000
FAX: 0161 866 8822

A different fax number to the one Lomos found, but a Manchester one nevertheless.

Later in 2004 these numbers changed to Tel: 0845 811 8833 and fax: 0845 811 8822. The address was the same Stretford one.

I can't find the 020 Stonefield Way address and/or number on the Internet Archive.

The unverified database has one entry for Digimate and that is 0208 8392280 which is down as "Reception".

Hi thanks for your help but had nothing but problems, don't buy anything from digimate they have very poor service.

The first two numbers are private and the 0845 numbers are both for a fax.

If you dial to 0161 number it says to call 02088392280, this is the only number that works.

There was a person that answered the phone on that number but would not transfer or give me another number, very unhelpful. I was told to call the 0871 number,  I had no option but to call it.
I have complained to them about there 0871 number and also asked them to call me back, as i'm not going to pay 10p a minute for a faulty product.

Thanks anyway Smiley

I don't suppose anyone can do any better than I can here  Cheesy
Looking for the service hotline number: 0871 250 8000

This is what I've got ATM:
Address:
Digimate House 1, Chancery Gate Business Centre, Stonefield Way, Ruislip, Middlesex, HA4 0JA
Main Office Tel: 0871 250 6000 Geographical: 020 8845 6114
FAX: 0871 250 7000 Geographical: Unknown

Main office are listed in main DB & claimed unable to put you through.
Two more numbers from the same group/ address (BT phonebook), both ring out: 020 8845 8562 & 020 8839 2280
I also have a couple of old numbers (Old office in Manchester I think), now not Digimate- 0845 811 8833 & 0161 866 2000 (Web archive)

This is suggesting to me that the number is going to be found somewhere in the 020 8845 **** range

Anyone  Smiley

Numbers tried so far:
Range 1- Know these are Digimate.
020 8839 2280 - Main office reception. Gives out customer service number.
020 8839 2281 - Fax?
020 8839 2282 - Rings out
020 8839 2283 - Digimate, office somewhere (Doesn't answer as Digimate, suggests internal number)? Gives out customer service number.
020 8839 2283==> 2294 - Ring. Presume offices?
020 8839 2295 - Fax?
020 8839 2296 - OFFICES CLOSED MESSAGE!! Will try tomorrow, but this looks like it may well be the service line  Smiley
020 8839 2400 - Not Digimate.

Range 2- Listed as Digimate on directory enquiries, slightly different address (Same business park, so suggests current)
020 8845 8560 - Non-existant number
020 8845 8561 - Non-existant number
020 8845 8562 - Rings out
020 8845 8563 - Non-existant number

Range 3- Again listed as Digimate on directory enquiries, same address as above
020 8845 6110 - Rings, will try tomorrow
020 8845 6111 - Rings, will try tomorrow
020 8845 6112 - Rings, will try tomorrow
020 8845 6113 - Rings, will try tomorrow
020 8845 6114 - Rings out
020 8845 6115 - Rings, will try tomorrow

Well, it is probably a wild guess, but given the head office is 6000 -> 6114, perhaps the other one is 8000 -> 8114?

Otherwise, it is probably likely that the number is somewhere within 61xx. My suggestion would be to try ringing numbers in that range and see what you find out (might be best to do it after the office shuts, to save you annoying lots of people Smiley.

A 192.com search for Digimate reveals the same geographic for the head office, but 0161 737 1344 for the fax number (back to Manchester as you said). However, this is probably an old entry and I guess it won't work any more.

Let us know how you get on Smiley.

Will do. Doesn't help that they don't have a menu or intro message, just connects straight to an internal ring  Sad

Nuts, I'm confused  Grin
2280 is the main office, 6114 rings out  Roll Eyes
Presumably going to be somewhere in the 22xx set then?

21xx range defintely isn't them anyhow.
2222 & 2232 belong to someone else (Not actually rung anyone yet, but the internet says so). I'd presume therefore than any numbers should be above this level?

Cheers

Oh, your original post said that 2280 rang out, and 6114 was the office number.

Well, I'd try numbers in the 228x range then, possibly following on to the 229x range if no luck (could even try 227x too).

We may be getting somewhere. Is a high-pitched whistle (Changes) a fax number? FWIW 2281 Smiley

List tried so far then:
020 8839 2280 - Office
020 8839 2281 - Fax?
020 8839 2282 - Rings out
020 8839 2283 - Digimate, office somewhere? Gives out customer service number.

I'm wondering if I've got the main office range here? Can't be certain whether CS is in the same range or whether its in one of the other two ranges that we have (020 8845 61xx or 020 8845 85xx)
Haven't tried any numbers from these two yet though.

Cheers

That is probable. I'm not an expert on telecommunications itself, but it sounds like an sure indication of something else on that line. Is that number 020 8839 2281? Fax numbers are often found to follow other office numbers quite closely so I would assume you are correct there.

Let us know how you get on Smiley.

Sorry, didn't find this one with search Smiley
Anyway, tried a few more numbers, from the other two possible ranges as per BT- Results are above.
Definitely suggests to me that the service line should be higher in the 020 8839 22xx range.

Unfortunately, I can't find any out of service numbers out of a random selection before 020 8839 2400, which is the lowest definite end I have ATM. I don't think that any of the numbers up to 020 8839 2300 are the service line, all ring out at this time of night.

Would appreciate any more input, especially if someone can find any possible end to their number range.

UPDATE: Looks like I may have found the offending number Smiley 020 8839 2296 gives an offices closed message. Not trying the 0871 now, but this is promising!
Number works very nicely  Smiley Adding to DB, could someone please confirm.

Cheers
