Am I right in assuming that this is an insurance company? If so, do they provide the cover or is it underwritten by another company?

The number works, I tried it. Organising 24 hour property repair and dealing with property related insurance claims are probably two aspects of what this company does.

The name of the company is Property Consortium UK Ltd.

I've checked around and the only number that comes up is 0870 444 1423. Even their fax number is an 0870.

The company address is Blackdown House, Culmhead Business Centre, Taunton, Somerset, TA3 7DY

This is the company that my house insurers have told me I have to deal with in regard to an ongoing claim, so I need to make regular contact with them, and can't always use email. If they leave a message, it's only ever "Please call back" even when the message is quite simple and does not need a reply. Even my insurance company doesn't have a geographic number for them Angry

It's bad enough to be dealing with a subsidence problem, without being ripped off each time I have to call.

Any help/advice gratefully received

Hi Liz. I did a search of the forum for ta3 and it came up with this thread which is for what appears to be a sister company. I have therefore joined them together.

The number 01823 602120 has been suggested a couple of times on this thread. Unfortunately none of those who've requested help have given any feedback. I would be grateful if you could let us know.

Sometimes I wonder why I bother when people don't respond. Sad

Just tried 01823 602120. The person who replied said they were "24 Hour Property Repair". Property Consortium call themselves "The 24 Hour Property Repair Service". Interesting. "24hr PR" were very vague, but I managed to find out that they are based in the same business centre in Taunton. They asked for my name and postcode, claimed not to have any note of either on their database, didn't seem to know about Property Consortium. Odd, don't you think, when they're in the same building Grin

Oh, guess what!? Just as I'd finished typing that paragraph, having just put the phone down to "24hr PR" (and I didn't key in 141 before dialling their number) Property Consortium rang. Call me an old conspiracy theorist but... The contact even checked that I knew which number to call them back on, so at least I was able to tell them what I think of 0870 numbers, and now have a marginally better email address for my claim. And I've checked 1471: "Caller withheld their number" - surprise.

Thanks for the help - all round the houses, but it's an improvement

It appears the 01823 602120 is the start of a block of numbers which belong to this company, or at least this building. Going downwards, 602119 is not recognised. However, going upwards, the following may be of use:

You get an automatic menu to start with, and may have to wait a while "You are being held in a queue" - but it works! I actually got to speak to a real person on a real phone number. THANKS. Liz
