Alternative Number

I rang the alternative number for Northeast Metropolitan Area Inland Revenue. (0191 501 6078) The lady on the other end of the line tried to tell me that the number was only for overseas callers and tried to give me the 0845 number.  After I persisted she did answer my query - so keep trying.

Best to withhold your number using 141, especially for calls to HMRC/Inland Revenue.
