Sky Talk introduce 12 month contract.
Apr 9th, 2009 at 4:02am

"Sky Talk: [From 08.04.09] 12 month minimum term applies to New Sky Talk customers and to existing customers taking up Sky Talk Line Rental"

http://packages.sky.com/speak/

But still no inclusive 0845/0870 calls. Smiley

I've just noticed this now in an advert and double checked their website!

I cant believe they are asking for a 12month contract even for those customers that just take calls only.

I'm now beginning to understand why posters sometimes refer to the company as $ky!

We need something similar for VirginMedia as I believe they are even more expensive than $ky on most, if not all, things.

Why would this come as a surprise to you in view of the useless idiots at OfCon even having allowed BT to force customers coming back to it from a rival telco to sign up for at least 12 months.  And this happened quite a long time ago (like more than a year ago).  So Sky obviously thinks if BT are allowed to get away with it then why shouldn't they get away with it too.

I have no ongoing contract period with yourcalls.net but if I leave them it now seems impossible to move to anywhere else that does not have at least a 12 month minimum contract term.  Only cretinous Ofcom seems able to think that it is in the interests of ensuring an open and competitive telecoms marketplace for this to be allowed to happen. Shocked Angry Cry Smiley
