www.essex.gov.uk/Pages/Contact-us.aspx comply by giving 5p a minute service charge.

But still prominently say they are charged at BT standard rates.

Essex County Council is now the only English County Council to retain widespread use of 0845 numbers.

Hampshire CC have switched from 0845 to 03.

I have updated and confirmed the listing for Eastbourne TIC with the revised Geographic number.  Smiley

From 1 July 2015, Angus Council declared a 2p per minute Service Charge for their 0845 number.

On 3 August 2015 they changed to the matching 0345 number: http://youtu.be/lCmME5CWpqY

They do provide the Geographical Number for Customer Services , and they are using some 0800 freephone numbers.
