I do not have a house phone, so im constantly using my mobile when i need to call them which is costing me a fortune. i would be very appreciative if someone could find an alternative number for this company. thanks matt

If not, I would guess this is where they get their income from and would also guess that it is a legitimate use of this number

I note that the About us page which gives the 0871 number does not make mention of the cost, which is a legal requirement as this is officially a "premium rate service" regulated by PhonepayPlus.

The first4companions.com domain was only registered at the end of April for only one year. The maximum period .com addresses can be purchased for is 10 years.

cheers mate, so much information!

everytime i call them i do speak to an office in london (they all speak with a london accent).

i also have bank details for first 4 companions, as i was required to pay my membership fee into it.

the account is under 'tross ltd', and after further searching through sort codes and what not, i managed to find an address for 'tross ltd'. they are a legit company (show up on 192.com and ukdata - list of ltd companies) still confused as to why the bank account is under that name:

567 Kenton Road
Harrow
London
HA3 9RS

funnily enough, the bank where the account is held is just around the corner.

Im pretty confident i have the right address...but cannot find a phone number anywhere.

any ideas?

that address appears to be a semi in a residential street.

Searching for it brings up two other companies at the same address

They may or may not be related, but the first is an Orange mobile number, so might be cheaper to call depending on your tariffs, and the second is a straight London number, so both worth a try..

Looking at the HA3 9RS post code on Multimap shows its a semi-detached house. Googling "567 Kenton Road" returns this page:

Contact person is "Darpan" and is listed as a buying agent for importers of "Paracetamol, vegetables, fruits". Who is Darpan? Huh

Adjust the Google search to "567 Kenton Rd" (i.e. change the "Road" to "Rd") and you get some more interesting results. This entry on Yell.com, listed under Luggage & Bags, and is for a company called "Lovesativa.com" based at that address. It gives mobile telephone number 07800 626355:

The domain lovesativa.com apparently isn't registered.

You could see what else can be found by Googling, although there's no guarantee that you may get a break.

I put "07800 626 355" into Google (note the second space) and it came back with one result at the URL:

This page no longer exists, but the result quote in Google says:

www.brandedcandle.com is now a US online shop, and Whois brandedcandle.com shows it was registered in February 2009 by the current user. I have no reason to believe that the current owner is connected with the operation you are looking for an alternative for.

So it looks like the person connected with your company has had various operations/companies...
