Royal Mail Business

Please can anyone help me with a geo number for Royal Mail Post Boxes team?

The address I have is PO Box 740, Salford, M50 3YY

I had a geo number to a supervisor (heaven!) 0161 874 8237 but this now has a recorded message talking about other things, not PO Boxes, before saying goodbye

There is an unconfirmed number on your site of 0161 869 6988 but this is actually the fax number version of the one above (0161 874 8237).

Thanks

Are you looking for an alternative to a 08 number? Or do they not publish any phone number?  Huh

If there is a 08 number, then please post it. This is predominantly so that when we do find an alternative, I can list the 08 number and alternative in the database.

I am not aware of an 08 number Dave. The only number they seem to put out now is the Royal Mail general customer services number where call centre staff read out prices and the like from a script. They were not able to tell me how to speak to a real person on the PO Boxes Team about a real problem.

Offices usually have many numbers in the same range (i.e. starting with the same few digits). I have found two such entries:

Royal Mail Response Services             0845 795 0950       0161 874 8137             Enquiries relating to creating Freepost and Business Reply accounts including generating artwork
Royal Mail             0845 795 0950       0161 874 8137             PO Box enquiries

I note that the recording on 0161 874 8237 refers to 08457 950 950, which is the published enquiries number for Royal Mail business customers.

Unfortunately 874 8137 answers with a recording "I'm sorry, you have dialled an incorrect number." A try of a few other numbers in the 874 81xx and 82xx ranges gets the message "We are sorry your call has been disconnected." I have removed these two entries.  Undecided

This alternative numbers part of this website is about visitors sharing numbers. The Geographical Requests section of the forum is where members can share what they have found which may help towards locating an alternative. It's like being a detective and the team shares the pieces of the jigsaw they find here.

It's not about a relatively small group being consulted for an alternative, although with the way in which many people use this site, it is feeling more like this.

A number for Royal Mail is 020 7250 2888. It is answered by an IVR (menu) and option 1 is for business enquiries.

I have listed it in the database as an alternative to 0845 795 0950.
