Post Office Online Savings Account
Nov 19th, 2010 at 4:00pm

The new Post Office Online Savings account linked to Bank of Ireland UK is using the following numbers
0845 600 5584 for customer services and 0845 600 5580 for technical queries.  Their address is Post Office Savings, PO Box 520, Welwyn Garden City, Al7 9JE.

Can anyone supply 0800 equivalents or geographic numbers for these numbers ?  I have tried google and yahoo without success.

Hello and welcome to SAYNOTO0870.COM.

It would perhaps be helpful if, particularly as this is an online account, that you provide a link to the page on the product in question.

Searching for PO Box 520 in AL7 brings up only pages linked with Post Office. I came across this page:
http://www.postoffice.co.uk/portal/po/jump2?catId=24400776&mediaId=52900694

It gives a different 0845 number to the two quoted in the OP, 0845 602 3409. They also lie about 0845 numbers being charged at "local call rates". I put this 0845 number into our search engine and it came up with a number of unverified suggestions:

Post Office             0845 602 3409       0117 945 0300             Savings accounts
post office             0845 602 3409       0161 799 5407
Post office - Savings accounts             0845 602 3409       0117 943 1006             Someone from the post office called me back from this no. and I've used it ever since.
post office savings             0845 602 3409             0800 1697500

The 0800 169 7500 number is given on Bank of Ireland UK's page:

Both 0800 169 7500 and 0800 169 4955 work.

When calling there is a menu/prompt for various savings accounts and although the online account is not mentioned pressing options 1 or 2 will put the caller through to a customer service agent who will deal with online account enquiries.

Thank you both very much.  I will try the 0800 numbers you suggest should the need arise.
