American Airlines Reservation number in London (Read 18,659 times)

The number in question is for UK callers and is 0844 499 7300 and is answered by an American voiced IVR (menu). This same menu is on Dublin number which is listed for calls from Finland +353 1 602 0550.

You will probably be best advised to use a cheap call provider such as 18185 rather than your line provider (eg BT, Virgin Media or TalkTalk).

You could also try the US number +1-800-433-7300

I was suggesting you call the Dublin or US numbers via 18185 and not the 0844 number.

18185 says it's 1p/min for Ireland and 0.5 p/min for US. The Ireland number is 00353 1 602 0550 and US one is 001-800-433-7300

It has been brought to my attention that the geographic number we had for American Airlines, +353 1 602 0550, no longer works - it is not recognised.

This story is from July 2011 and says:

A statement from the company tonight says that the airline has cited significant losses and a “focus on reducing costs and finding efficiencies” as reasons for the closure.

The International Reservations Centre has operated in Dublin for 15 years. The work will now be outsourced, a move which the company says in a statement will represent “significant savings”.

This probably explains why the number no longer works.

So what company is it outsourced to? I suggest that it could still be in Ireland because when calling the UK 0844 number the IVR is voiced by an Irish-sounding female.
