Financial Ombudsman Service gives 0300 & 0800 nos
Jan 20th, 2011 at 11:05am

Well done to the Financial Ombudsman Service which now gives 0800 and 0300 numbers with a notes to explain that the 0800 number is intended for callers from fixed lines and the 0300 number is for callers ringing from mobiles:

Financial Ombudsman Service used to use publish a 0845 and switched to a 0300 number. It now has a 0800 number to go alongside it.

This has only finally come about after many years of complaint by yours truly and other members of their public about their continued intransigent use of 084 and or 087 numbers.

They are also some way behind the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman in making this change.
